Block Printing

Unleashing their creativity, they tried their hand at block printing on Desi cloth bags, which they proudly carried back home.

Pottery workshop and Pot painting

Working with clay can be very therapeutic and this was what the participants tried their hand at. Learning from a professional potter on a potter's wheel, each participant, with help, could make amazing shapes and customize their own pots. Later, they also learnt to paint on baked pots. The workshop saw participation from all age groups who thoroughly enjoyed working with their hands.

Lippan Art

Lippan in a traditional art practiced in Gujarat where the women paint with natural colours on their walls. The uniqueness of this art is making geometrical shapes with clay and painting them on a flat surface. And decorating it with mirrors. Instead of working with clay, the participants used easy moulding clay to make shapes and later painted them in beautiful, vibrant colours.

Applique Work

Working with cloth scraps that are generated from the tailoring department, the participants learnt how to creatively form various shapes with patch work. Applique work involves working with cloth, learning some basic stitches to sew the cloth pieces together onto a larger piece of cloth. The participants were happy to display their own signature designs and drawings on their handmade tote bags.
